Common Livewire Issues: Being a piece of hardware combined with a good amount of software, as well as the fact that the Livewire has to communicate with several different computers at any given time, there's bound to be a few issues. The cd that came with it does not have instructions for the 9550 and I want to make sure I don't smoke the ECU. One of the guides (9400 'condensed') talks about pulling fuses, etc. What is the correct process to flash? Thanks in advance!

If its SCT then you plug into ALDL connector and the programmer will power up.You will hit the selec tune feature and just do what it says. Its very easy to do.Mine says 9550 to so thats the right one.You dont need to pull any fuses.Just plug it in and follow instructions.:biggthumpup. Another question. I got the 'custom tune', which looks like you get two options to load, 87 and 93 octane programs. Living on the left coast, we only get 92, no 93 here. Can you still run the 93 program or am I stuck with 87? I got my sct from hemifever, he sent me a 87, 91, and a 93 tune.

I use the 91 tune and 91 gas daily with no problems. I did run the 93 tune with a bottle of octane booster, it did run a little harder, but not much and not worth the price of octane boost in every tank. Also, if you got your tune from hemifever, make sure it's the Cali. Tune if you have a Cali.

Pcm- theres no differences in the power of the tunes, but a non-Cali tune on the Cali pcm will start throwing o2 sensor codes. Ok, so I loaded the 93 program and it's pinging under hard accelaration.

I want to get as much out of the tune as possible so before I go for a update to the tune, should I try an octane booster or is that a waste of time? Dylan Dog 300 Cbr Download Mac more. Are you running premium in it?

Put like a chevron or BP fuel in it.Id run a good tank of premium in it from a NAMED fuel station and try that before you get a hold of your programmer. It sucks how you dont have 93 octane but I wouldnt think 1 point would matter. It really depends on what type of gas you put in it.Try going to a station that was just built.A station with newer tanks are gonna have the better fuel.:biggthumpup. I'm thinking that I'll pick up a little Toluene to help me in the short term, but I'm not wanting to be messing with that stuff too much. The paint shop will think I'm a Huffer! Hemifever will send me an update to deal with the ping, but I'm sure that'll come with a slight performance hit. Any other thoughts/ideas on what can be done?

Any other Washingtonians here with the Hemifever program? Ya, newer station and I've been running 92 in it for 2 tank fulls now. I'm thinking that I'll pick up a little Toluene to help me in the short term, but I'm not wanting to be messing with that stuff too much.

Any other Washingtonians here with the Hemifever program? Sean is good and he might take something away to stop a certain problem but gain in another department to make up for it.The best octane booster,IMO,is the lucas brand. But its 10.00 a bottle and I have felt improvements with it.But it gets costly at 10.00 a fill er up. Thats probably from the pcvx2 That's why I have an in-line air/oil separator coming from pcv to intake. I just don't understand all the pinging issues.mine's never, ever done it, at least audibly under load.

Plugs are always great too. No specs of aluminum. This is with the CPS mod a few years ago, and with up to 34* total timing thus far all in by low 2000 rpm area with SCT prp. I regularly pour seafoam through the tb every few months and pour the 1/2 can remaining in the fuel tank. Then there's the home depot air/oil separator, and they best ingredient is the bosch 4 hole injectors for better fuel distribution. Better fuel distribution/atomization allow leaner mixtures (look at oem injectors) and more power.thus more efficient. Is that the difference with ping prone vehicles with no oil in intake???

Imitrex works ok, but sometimes nothing works. I've wound up in the ER a couple of times for it. I find mine can be triggered by sinus issues or excessive tension in my neck and shoulders. There's a product out there called sinus buster, you should look into it. Works great for me.
