Since when did Fender have basses made in Indonesia? I just bought at the local shop a Fender Squier maple neck bass that is made in Indonesia. It has a humbuckler silver pickup at the very top of the body. The Doors The Doors Album Download.

Never seen it before and I am not sure what year it was made. I played with it for a good half hour out of an Ampeg combo and it felt real good in my hands.

I needed a back up beater bass and I wanted it to be a precision with a maple neck. I had purchased one of those Classic Vibes 1950s Squiers and canceled the order after I played this from the local shop, Apple Music.

Fender Squier Serial Numbers. The Fender serial number decoder. The year IS: I = Indonesia, S = Samick, the serial number begins with 2-digits.

I much rather give them business than musician's friend. It was $299 and I walked out the store with it for $240 and a nice gig bag. But, who has more info on this bass? And Indonesia?

Hey guys, the other day I traded an old Strat copy for a Squier Strat with the intent of practising modding ideas on etc. I have been trying to work out what model it is for a couple of weeks and haven't worked it out yet.

Here are the things I know: Crafted in Indonesia. Made in 2003 (I'm 99.% sure) serial number starts with SI (I thought they normally started with IS). There is nothing on the neckplate. The back plate is black rather than white. The headstock is the smaller size rather than the larger type.

If you could help me at all, It would be much appreciated. Click to expand.Yep, it has all the ear marks of an SE100 Strat Pack. A fine Squier to start as a modding base and not terrible as-is. Here's what I'd do to it if it were mine. Swap in a set of GFS Premium Texas Stagger Alnico pickups.

A GFS electronics upgrade kit + a 0.47uf Sprague Orange Drop cap and a GFS MIM upgrade vintage style trem. Everything else is pretty much good to go. Total upgrade part cost under $150. I'd bet that it would be comparable or better sounding than a lot of MIM Fenders. This could be a fake.

I e-mailed fender with the serial of a guitar I'd just bought, 'Crafted in Indonesia serial number SI03110558'. After sending some photos I got an email back saying 'Sorry but this does not look like our product'. Martin C Melody Saxophone Serial Numbers. I emailed fender because: the spec sheets describe a 22 fret agathis body affinity, and a 21 fret alder body affinity. Now the guitar I have has 21 frets but its seems far too light to have an alder body. I guess I was right to suspect that something was amiss. Anyhow some people seem to think there's a lot of fakes coming in from china, and I think if that's the case then squier or fender should have a public list of all official squire serial numbers, just like they have on the fender site for all official fenders. Latest news from fender is: It looks more like a Strat pak guitar.

Model Name: Squier STRAT (Used in Strat Pak only) Model Number: 032-0600-(Color#) Body: Agathis Neck: One-piece Maple Fingerboard: Rosewood (9.5' Radius) No. I have one the same Hi I've just got an identical one from ebay. Same stickers, inspected by HAD in sept 03, similar serial number S103091942, same unusual backplate, plywood visibly through backplate, same headstock logo etc. I've measured thickness and it is the thinner body.did you ever measure yours ekul785? THere's also a sticker on mine on back on neck which says SQ-Special/SB. I looked this up on Google and there's a few references but all just in for sale ads in France, South America and others. Given how much info is out there about Squier Strats these seem quite obscure Many thanks.
